Brochure "Municipal Development Cooperation In Germany"
More than 500 municipalities in Germany are either twinned with cities in Asia, Africa or Latin America, have entered into limited-term project-based partnerships, or are part of an overarching North-South network of towns and cities. In this brochure the German Association of Cities presents 15 examples of cooperation between members of the German Association of Cities, and their partners in 18 countries. The examples chosen illustrate the various opportunities available and possible forms of engagement.

First International Congress on Participatory Budgeting Models - Documentation

Education for Sustainable Development "For a Culture of Change"

This brochure presents InWEnt’s examples of projects that participated in the UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development in Bonn 2009. It illustrates how the sustainability strategy is implemented by the organisation itself and by its international projects, and emphasises the quality of ESD as a cross-cutting theme and paradigm shift.

Declaration
Climate change is already a reality, and one that hits people in emerging and developing countries harder than those in industrialised countries. Municipalities help cause climate change through their greenhouse gas emissions, but also suffer its impacts. At the same time, though, municipalities also generate key impetus for a successful shift toward a more sustainable society.

German-Chinese Intermunicipal Relationships. Motives, Structures, Activity Areas

The study of the Service Agency Communities in One World is based on a empirical survey conducted in selected German municipalities which maintain relations with China. She describes in detail origin, character and activities as well as new main focuses of the cooperation.
